- The staff exceeded my expectations. - the room was so clean! - There are free alcoholic drinks and snacks from 5-7pm daily. They have a couple fire pit tables outside that are heated and have a view of the city. - I am gluten free, there is not gluten free bread but there is gluten free options. - The breakfast was amazing. You can have pancakes or omlettes made fresh. I chose the omelette and my 5 year old loved the breakfast. - The room service was around 10-30 a person per meal. Kids meals were under $10.00 - I loved that I could have starbucks or breakfast brought to my room though I did not utilize that because we enjoyed breakfast together downstairs. - At this time, World of Winter is going on downtown Grand Rapids. We were able to walk all of it. Some of the World of winter is within view from your balcony at the hotel depending on which room you choose. The rest is around 1-2 miles to walk to however parking is free on the weekends. - I was able to utlize free parking in Grand Rapids as there is a parking lot right at Canal park that is across the road from the Embassy. In Grand Rapids parking is free park and street parking is free Friday-Sunday at 2pm so if you are traveling on a weekend you can skip the $20 a night parking charge. - Canal park is walking distance if you decide to take kids.

Great hotel and very friendly staff. Every single person I spoke to and asked for help were corteous and friendly as well as helpful. When we checked in, Justin, was super helpful, friendly and more than met our requests. We had a wonderful time and really enjoyed the breakfast (especially the omelette!). All the staff we spoke (including kitchen and breakfast area) were really friendly. Would highly recommend staying in this hotel and commend Justin for all his help when we checked in and asking how we were doing a day or so later after we checked in :).

At first, I felt like it was a little expensive, but we needed room for six people, that’s why we booked here. Definitely felt the value. They had a happy hour every night and offered 2 drinks per person in our room every night. It was near the pool/ jacuzzi deck, so we would get a couple of drinks and relax in the the jacuzzi. So nice! 😀 best all inclusive breakfast I’ve ever had. They had a made to order omlet station set up like a diner restaurant. It was awesome! I will definitely go back! Staff was amazing!

The spacious 2R Queen Suite; corner-end room we had allowed myself and three children to all dwell comfortably. I absolutely LOVED the buffet style breakfast and especially the cook to order grill appeal.. My omelette and pancakes were A1. I took advantage of the workout room, nice sized & depth pool, and the “hot tub!” It was so relaxing. A few years ago, my family and I stayed at Embassy Suites (Durham, North Carolina) and I remember that hotel was FANTASTIC as well. Embassy Suites is where it’s at, Grand Rapids!

Location was great and so accesible to restaurants and in particular Meijer Gardens. The room was immaculate and though we didn't request a handicap access room, we enjoyed the largeness of the room. The staff was wonderful and we thought the breakfast was outstanding. Beautifully appointed common areas and also the complimentary drinks and snacks was a very nice perk.
